Camp Kéno: a major ally
The mission of Camp Kéno is to enable young people from all walks of life to enjoy the uplifting experience only a summer camp can offer. This exceptional opportunity is often a life-changing experience for children that helps them shape their future as adults.
Through their partnership with the Roméo Dallaire Foundation, the Camp leaders have played an active role in getting the Young Leaders program off the ground for young people from underprivileged backgrounds, many of whom are immigrants and refugees. This program is tailored to each and every child’s individual needs, and evolves over the years in line with the results observed.
In addition to the weeks they spend together at summer camp, the young participants in the program will also be brought together several times a year over the space of five years.
